Milwaukee's messiest festival was back on September 18, 2010, on the East Side of Milwaukee at North and Farwell Avenues. The festival was sponsored by Maglio & Company, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Absolut Vodka, and Educator's Credit Union and organized by the East Side Business Improvement District.

The festival and its signature tomato cage fight are inspired by the (in)famous La Tomatina in Buñol, Spain. While not quite as big as La Tomatina (even though we're trying), Milwaukee's tomato fight is garnering attention from organizers in other cities who are considering incorporating a similar event into their own festivals.

The 200 participants in the tomato fight were asked for a $3 donation to benefit Feeding America, an organization dedicated to feeding the hungry in eastern Wisconsin (formerly known as Second Harvest).

Congratulations to the Dogs Bollocks Pub and Vitucci's Cocktail lounge for winning the fourth annual Best Bloody Mary contest. Dogs Bollocks won out as the fan's favorite pick while Vitucci's took the judge's prize. Thank you to all of the restaurants and taverns who participated in the contest.
