As we close off 2021 in three short days, we’re entering not only a new year but a new milestone for the Maglio Companies. In January of 2022, we will be celebrating 120 years of providing freshness, solutions, and quality service. Maglio started out with a pushcart and has now grown into a three, soon-to-be-four, facility company that handles customers nationwide. Working with small and large companies, we’ve worked hard to grow a sustainable company that can ensure quality products for the produce industry. Join us in 2022 as we announce the expansion of our fourth facility and a new innovative product that we are very interested in sharing with you. It’s been just over a year in the making and we’re excited to announce this convenience, tasteful, some would say life-altering, product. There is so much to unravel moving into the new year, but we’d like to share some exciting “numbers” to close out the year 2021.
In 120 years we’ve had five generations of Maglio family members: Giacomo, Frank, Sam Sr., Sam Jr., and Paul Maglio. We’ve supplied enough tomatoes to cover all of Italy’s lasagna dishes. We’ve produced enough juice to fill Lake Michigan and we’ve supplied enough chunked fruit to line the US from San Francisco to New York.
