We understand that our company is not only diverse within each location, but we differ in the local tradition that comes with Christmas right around the corner. Here are some of the local traditions that surround each facility in the Maglio company. Up first we have Milwaukee, WI which is the headquarters of our company.
In Milwaukee, WI it is very common to celebrate St. Nick’s Day. This can be observed across the globe, however, Milwaukee does it the best as Wisconsin as a collective loves to celebrate this German-rooted tradition. Placing shoes or stockings outside your door, St. Nick leaves a special present on the night of December 6th. Most kids are hoping for their favorite Maglio produce in their stockings, but others receive small gifts or candy, we think the Maglio produce is the better choice. In Milwaukee, you can also see Jingle Buses lining the downtown area as patrons enjoy a 40-minute narrated tour of the city light display. Visit Candy Cane Lane or the MillerCoors Holiday lights and then take a spin at the Red Arrow Park for a nice ice skate night under the lights. At the end of a long day in Milwaukee enjoying your favorite Maglio supplied produce at some of the city’s finest restaurants, you can cap off the night with a Cranky Al’s famous December doughnut. Turning their powdered doughnut into a snowman with pretzel arms and chocolate chip buttons, they know how to capture the holiday vibes with one bite.
Down south in McAllen, Texas you wouldn’t expect as many winter traditions, however, there are plenty of lit palm trees to create the Christmas spirit. McAllen, Texas is home to the largest illuminated parade in Texas for Christmas winning the name of the true South Pole of Texas. Sipping on apple cider and enjoying cups of fruit, McAllen sure does know how to put on a show. Enjoy train rides around the town and maybe swing by our facility on your way, you can enjoy indoor ice skating and the tree lighting ceremony to make McAllen a full Christmas experience. Trading out palm trees for cold eastern shores tundras, we head back up to Brockton, Massachusetts for our final holiday stop in our produce facility Christmas guide.
Just like any town, you can expect a marching band, parade floats, and Santa roaming the streets for holiday celebrations. In Brockton, MA this is no joke and will be back in full swing this year. While bundled up and ready for the crisp chill in the air, enjoy a hot chocolate and stew made with your favorite Maglio vegetables. Enjoy breakfast with Santa over a plate of eggs and bacon with a side of delicious fruit and then spend the day walking around town listing to the Brockton Symphony Orchestra during their annual pop-up concerts. Spreading the holiday joy closes out for the small town with their annual 5K Ugly Sweater Run. Join in on the festivities, boost up with some Healthy Roots juice and wear your ugliest Christmas sweater for a chance to win a special Brockton Christmas prize.
